John joined Lillis, McKibben & Co. in September 1987 and became a Partner in 2006. He obtained his B.A. in Economics from Allegheny College in 1987. He has earned the following professional designations:

• Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
• Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP)

John is a member of Finesca and a past President of the Erie Society of Financial Service Professionals and a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. John has been a qualifying life member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 2005 – MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the financial services industry. Forbes also recognized John as Best-In-State Wealth advisor and Financial Security professional for 2022-2025.

John is Chairman Emeritus of WQLN and Past President of the experience Children's Museum. John is involved with The United Way as part of the Corporate Partner Coalition working directly with Grover Cleveland Elementary School.
